PROCES & COLABORARE
How to prepare for your first conversation with an interior designer.
Five details that turn a general idea into a useful project brief.

Describe how you use the space
Before gathering inspiration images, note who will use the home or commercial space and what they do there. A living room for frequent gatherings has different needs from one used mainly for rest.
Gather what you know about the space
A plan, a few dimensions and photos from different angles are very useful. If you don't have them, describe the approximate area, location and current condition. Precise measurements can follow later.
Separate needs from preferences
A list of must-haves helps more than a large photo collection: storage, task lighting, easy-care materials. Visual references still matter, but explain what you like in each one.
Share your constraints
An approximate budget, desired deadline and work already planned influence the project. You don't need perfect answers; an honest estimate helps us make a better proposal.
Leave room for questions
The first conversation is also the time to learn what the project may include, how decisions are made and what information is still needed. A good brief is built together.
